GOD BLESS OUR ARMED FORCES, OUR DEPARTED AND WOUNDED THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND… ALWAYS. THANKS ARE NOT ENOUGH; THERE ARE NO WORDS THAT CAN DETAIL OUR DEBT, OUR GRATITUDE

May 29th, 2010

God Bless Our Fallen, Our Wounded, Our Missing in Action.  For those they’ve left behind in death and who tend to the care of the wounded and scarred as they heal.

You are not forgotten this Memorial Day and always.

Eternal Peace Grant Them Lord.

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”   –John Stuart Mill (1806 – 1873)–

“Slowly, the  Memorial Day will be watered down as it was with Christmas, which became  as day of gifts of Santa, instead of the birth of Jesus. The Memorial Day gradually will be only a Day of Barbecue.”
– Dr. Alfonz Lengyel (Still with us, thank God)… not if we have anything to do with it Dr. Lengyel.  God Bless you and our Armed Forces.

Brennan Willfully Refuses To Not Recognize the Enemy

May 29th, 2010

Taking well-intentioned and horribly fictitious advice from advisors on Islam, Brennan continues the misplaced mantra  of the previous administration; that jihad is an internal struggle against sin; a purification of the soul and of the community and has nothing to do with physical combat and warfare.  He is wrong and, more tragically, has no desire do understand the truth about jihad.  He seems a smart man, but one who has shut his mind to all except that which fits within his template of engagement.  And that is secular engagement, where all actions and reactions are the result of purely material and emotional input.

Listen to the show.  Fuad will straighten us out.

Good article in Investor’s Business Daily here and an archival, but still relevant, Washington Times piece carried at Act for America here.  Read both!

North Korea WANTS War! N2K Bets they See Us as Over-Committed, Weak

May 29th, 2010

Okay, it’s like this:  North Korea is NUTS!  Collectively, individually, this is a human tragedy beyond belief.  North Korea is hell bent (and bound it seems), on its own destruction.  With NOTHING to offer its people or its neighbors except the terror and spiritual destruction that comes when a secular cult of its own brand of Communism, North Korea has fully suspended the exercise of free will and has secured the psychological and spiritual death of its own people.  Now, national murder-suicide seems to be a perfectly emancipating option.

And we are engaging this is madness and evil as though North Korea is a “rational” state actor through and around which certain diplomats feel expertly suited to maneuver; like the director of the state mental hospital in the movie “Silence of the Lambs” believing he has all the tools to to neutralize Hannibal Lecter… the same track we are taking with Iran.  Are we so committed to diplomacy that we resort to its use against only our toughest problems… ones that will not respond to any form of diplomatic or economic pressure?  North Korea has been starving its population since the 1950′s.  They’ve just murdered 46 fellow Koreans; South Korean sailors aboard the South Korean Navy Ship Cheonan that was sunk by a North Korean mini-sub torpedo on March 26th.

The North Korean leadership has been driven insane.  Imagine the destiny of a family being raised by completely insane parents… not hard then to imagine what is going on inside the borders of North Korea, who now says that South Korea intentionally sank the Cheonan to provoke a war with the North.

North Korea needs to be punished; its leadership destroyed.

The Christian Science Monitor reports on the North’s insanity here.

Repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell… a reminder of the issues here..

May 29th, 2010

The House of Representatives has voted to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the controversial law that bans openly admitted homosexuals from serving in the military.  In the rip current of emotions that always surrounds this issue, there is a very real practical issue at hand and this is what it is… again, it’s very simple, but no one really wants to talk about it:

At the risk of sounding flippant (and I’m not) it’s called, SEXUAL ATTRACTION!  It is not ridiculous to assume that homosexual men and women, who are attracted to members of the same sex, will be attracted to them in close and intimate quarters, such as communal sleeping accommodations and shower facilities.   Excuse me if this seems crude, but it is not paranoia for straight military members to feel uncomfortable if they know that the person or persons in front of whom they are undressing or showering is known to be sexually attracted to members of the same sex.  If we are to accept that this no big deal and is merely being overblown by paranoid and anti-gay bigots, then we should immediately repeal all regulations that assign sexes to different living and showering facilities.  After all, just because a heterosexual man is standing in the middle of the female shower facility with nude women going in and out of showers in various stages of undress, doesn’t necessarily mean that he is going act upon his urges, right?  So, what’s the big deal?

Lift the ban on separate facilities for men and women first and let’s see how that works out.   Then we can move into truly controversial territory and lift the DADT policy.

You know I’m right.  If you do and still disagree with me, then go right ahead and call me a homophobe… I don’t believe I am.  In fact, I’m quite certain I’m not.

Secretary Gates responds to the House vote here.   I don’t envy the man.

Best Way to Replace Outgoing Director of National Intelligence, Blair… with nothing.

May 22nd, 2010
File:Dennis Blair.jpg

ADMIRAL DENNIS BLAIR

There is one sensible thing with which to replace outgoing National Intelligence Director, Dennis Blair…

NOTHING!!!

The job never should have been created in the first place; it has served no real useful purpose until now.  To give Presidents someone they can march to the political gallows when they themselves have failed to frame the needs of our nation… the security of our nation… to lead our armed forces, intelligence and law enforcement agencies as our Commander-in-Chief.  What has transpired?  Dennis Blair, retired Navy Admiral; a man who has forgotten more things about national security than our President will ever know, will go off to make a sizable sum speaking, writing, and consulting.  Not bad, after sitting in a post which, while important from an information management standpoint, carries with it ZERO authority to command and/or control the intelligence activities which have supposedly gotten him fired.

There is only one DNI with any reasonable authority in the U.S. Government, and that is the Director of Naval Intelligence.  The “other” DNI is a window dressing post, designed to serve as a relief valve for Presidential failure.  Well, seems it worked as designed.

Good luck, fair winds and following seas Admiral Blair.  You did a thankless job… literally.
